Barrett Jackson Anyone?

The Hollman tradition of watching the Barrett Jackson auction continues... I got Jeremy hooked on it a few years ago and I'm proud to say, Dylan is easily sucked in. I don't normally let the kiddo watch tv, but this is definitely mommy-approved television. I know most parents would probably select Sesame Street, but I much prefer watching a beautiful 1965 Ford Mustang roll across the screen and hear Dylan go "vroom vroom vroom."What you can't see in this photo is Dylan holding a green VW Bug matchbox car.

More Fireworks! More! More!

Happy New Year! We celebrated with a trip to Burlington and splurged on a lake front hotel room from which we were able to see the fireworks. John, Becky and David joined us. It was so much fun to see them and to watch the boys watching the fireworks. Dylan couldn't stop staring and David just kept asking for "more fireworks! more! more!" - usually turning to Becky to request this and therefore missing probably half of the fireworks. As for Burlington itself, it seems like everytime we go the weather is bad. We prompty forgot Dylan's mittens and went on a hunt for some... hm... pair of mittens and hat for $17 on clearance at the Gap or a $3 pair of socks which I think worked better since we could roll them farther up his arms. Hm. No contest. The day we were leaving the sun broke thru, but we left in the morning and didn't get to fully enjoy the nice day. I can't wait until we move up there so we can enjoy those nice days.
